To start with after having finished the academic studies I wanted my work to be both universal alongside be equally personal. Hence I choose to work from my home and portray members of my family. My intention is to underline the indispensable qualities of painting. I let the works develop organically by making random sketches. By keeping my initial process flexible I allow participation to take place and then the work becomes like a collaboration between the sitter and the artist. To have a dialogue with the rich tradition of painting I layer my works with art historical references. What I seek in my work is to assimilate information from all my senses and create a response for it.  Hence my painting becomes a record of the act of looking. In this situation, some indefinable quality seeps in the work. My practice is an enquiry of subjective human experience to the outer and inner worlds. The underlying theme in my work is the basic act of looking and providing the audience to experience the world in a new way.
